Ekan project manages big initiative for children’s dental health
In spring 2008, the national dental service in Västra Götaland’s major new initiative began, project managed by Ekan. The successful FRAMM (fluoride, advice, arena, food and motivation) project has resulted in the dental care service expanding its activities in all primary and lower secondary schools to cover fluoride painting and health lessons for all pupils, primarily in years 6-9. This means a common working method and level of activities in schools for all of the roughly 125 national dental service clinics in the region.
The head of the national dental service in Göteborg, Anders Ljungné, is responsible for the FRAMM project and is also the chair of the steering group. Mia Svenheden and Susann Gebart are project managers from Ekan.
The initiative by the national dental service in Västra Götaland will also include extra resources for children in vulnerable areas. This has also been highlighted by the newspaper Göteborgs Posten, among other things.
