Ekan receives the "Gazelle award" yet again!

Ekan AB remains one of Sweden’s fastest growing companies and again received the Gazelle award presented by the Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri. Together with our AAA-ranking for solidity as well as the UC Seal, given for the highest credit rating, it shows that we are an expansive and healthy company with exciting prospects for the future. 

The Gazelle concept was created by the American researcher David Birch. As early as the 1980’s, he showed that it was the small rapid-growing companies that created the most employment opportunities, as opposed to the financial giants who were constantly streamlining their organisations and often reducing their staff.

The Gazelle companies fill the role of the dynamic middle-tier in the economy. However, the standards are demanding. Research from the Stockholm School of Economics shows that less than 1 % of Sweden’s public listed companies qualify to become Gazelle companies.
