The Forum Procurement network starts in Gothenburg

For over seven years, Forum Procurement has networked in Stockholm under the leadership of Anders Kron at Ekan Management Stockholm office. Anders has among other things written the book "Purchasing in change: about organization, role and governance" together with Mikael Wallgren.

Starting in autumn 2013, Ekan will set up the corresponding network in Gothenburg in collaboration with Business Concept. September 5 was the first occasion when purchasing managers, academics, lawyers and specialists met over an extended work lunch for exchange of experience. There were, among others, representatives from SKF, Volvo and AstraZeneca.

The purpose of the network is to achieve a knowledge transfer between the academic world, the public and the private sector, which has been a success factor for both the network in Stockholm and for Ekan since the beginning of the 1980s. At the first meeting, participants listened, among other things, to the newly appointed professor at the Gothenburg School of Economics, Henrik Agndal, which shared trends in the service sector. Agndal  has during the past fifteen years researched on how interorganizational relationships (buyer-seller relationships) are created, used and controlled.
