Align IT support with reality
There is a large amount of capital invested in an organization's IT support. In order to ensure the value of IT support for the organization, it is of great importance to make sure that it is utilized properly. Commitment and use diminish over time and active intervention is required to reverse a downward trend.
The IT system should support the organisation's governance model and management processes, not the other way around. When the management needs change, the system also has to be adjusted based on the new direction. If you do not actively ensure that your IT support is up to date, the benefit will diminish.
